CAMP Fall Arrester GIANT
The CAMP GIANT is a multifunctional descender for technical rope access, rescue and climbing applications. Its hot-forged body, controlled internal mechanism and ergonomic lever are designed to provide precise handling under demanding loads.
Key features
- Functions as a descender, work-line ascender, fall-arrest device and climbing belay device within the stated certification limits
- Anti-panic lever locks the rope if the lever is pulled too far
- Additional locking position for hands-free stopping
- External button can hold the cam open for low-load or unloaded rope movement
- Rope can be installed or removed without detaching the connecting carabiner
- Large attachment opening accepts a second carabiner to lock both side plates
- Clear internal and external rope-routing markings
Compatibility and standards
- EN 12841 Types A, B and C for 10–11.5 mm semi-static ropes, subject to the load limits stated by the manufacturer
- EN 341/2A for emergency evacuation with 10.5 mm semi-static rope, up to 200 kg
- ANSI/ASSE Z359.4 for emergency evacuation with 11 mm semi-static rope
- EN 15151-1 for climbing techniques with 9.9–11 mm dynamic ropes
